York Harness Racing Club

A Brief History of the Club

On the 30th September 1922, Western Australia's oldest country club, York Trotting Club, was founded. This states first ever country electric light meeting was held at the York Track in March 1948.

 

Many trainers, drivers and horses "cut thier teeth"  on the small circuit and progressed to become identities in Harness racing in WA.

 

The York track is now a training facility wth future racing for the York Harness Racing Club conducted at the Northam Harness Racing Club's track.

 

Membership Cost/Gate Entry

$25 for 4 people.
