Becoming an Agent

Looking for a new and exciting business opportunity?

Here’s an opportunity to join one of Australia’s largest industries.

RWWA is a significant participant in the leisure and entertainment industry.  Becoming an agent will see you involved in one of the most extensive small business networks in Western Australia.

Opportunities exist for the right person to develop a business that is both exciting and rewarding.  RWWA Head Office support is given in a number of areas such as marketing your business as well as day-to-day leadership from Territory Managers who have extensive knowledge of RWWA.

You will have the opportunity, along with your customers, to be involved in major events such as the Melbourne Cup, Interdominion Harness Racing Championship and the AFL Grand Final, events that are broadcast worldwide.

The Industry

The Western Australian Leisure and Entertainment Industry is estimated to be around $1.4 billion in size.  Areas that make up the industry include gambling such as the TAB, Lotteries and Casino ranging all the way through to Cinemas, Video Arcades and Cafes.

The Leisure and Entertainment industry relies on providing value to customers in the products, services and experiences that they receive.

RWWA’s ability to satisfy new and existing customers is based largely on providing coverage of quality race meetings, supported by excellent form information and relaxed, convenient, service orientated retail outlets.

The Company

Racing and Wagering Western Australia is one of the healthiest and fastest growing betting organisations in Australia.  Advancements in technology and the ongoing investment in new and existing retail outlets have enabled RWWA to greatly enhance the betting experience for all customers.  Exciting technology products such as voice recognition systems, smart cards, electronic wall boards, touch screen betting, betting via the Internet and fixed odds sports betting products are rapidly becoming a reality.

These innovations will not only help RWWA provide its existing customers with increased products, information, improved service and easier more convenient ways to bet, they will also attract a whole new generation of people eager to enjoy the thrills of wagering and sports betting.

The Person

The successful purchaser of a TAB Agency will be someone who can demonstrate his or her ability to present and market the business within the competitive leisure and entertainment industry.

Apart from having a broad commercially focused background, prospective agents will need to have an absolute commitment towards providing superior customer service and be able to develop advantages over competitors by identifying and implementing local initiatives that satisfy new and existing customers.

“Are you the person we’re looking for – Are we the business you’re looking for?”

The Rewards

Having the ability to drive business turnover and provide excellent customer service will see you benefit by way of being rewarded with an excellent remuneration package that consists of both commission and fixed hourly payment structures.

RWWA also has a generous Agent Incentive Scheme in place that rewards those agents who are prepared to consistently grow their business.  The scheme is based on a number of components including customer service, agency presentation and turnover performance.

“The higher your turnover, the bigger your rewards”
