Detection of Therapeutic Substances in Horses

Trainers and veterinarians are advised that the Australian Conference of Principal Racing Clubs has made available to the Australian Equine Veterinary Association some details of limited studies performed in recent years by Australian racing chemistry laboratories on certain commonly registered equine medicines that contain “prohibited substances” for the purposes of the Rules of Racing.

This information has been provided to all members of that Association and is available on request to all registered veterinarians.
