After guiding Yakuza to victory in the Tote Cup at Tattersall's Park in Hobart last Sunday night premier reinsman Gareth Rattray received an unexpected financial boost.
When Tote Tasmania chief executive officer Craig Coleman handed over the trophy to Rattray he also handed him a cheque for $2000 to help towards his personal expenses while representing Australian at the World Drivers Championship next year.
Rattray has been selected to represent Australia at the WDC in Norway in May.
"This $2000 will come in very handy while I'm overseas representing Australia," Rattray said.
