03 February 2009 Has The Answers Joins the Lead in Country Cups Series

A stunning all the way win in Saturday night’s $30,000 Harvey Cup, after a gallant second to Fourmoore in the $30,000 Northam Cup a week earlier, has given Has The Answers the lead in the RWWA $30,000 Country Cups series with just the Bunbury Cup on March 7th and Pinjarra Cup on June 1st yet to be held.

Has The Answers’ performances over the past week have also given trainer Gary Hall Snr and driver Gary Hall Jnr joint leadership with trainer/driver Aldo Cortopassi in that aspect of the series.

Has The Answers has 31 points for his owner Les Coulson and leads from Total Defiance, Lucky Punch and Fourmoore which each have 17 points. Has The Answers is the only horse to have been placed in more than one of the $30,000 Cups.

The father and son Hall’s also have 31 points courtesy of Has The Answers while Aldo Cortopassi earned his 31 points courtesy of a win by Total Defiance at Kalgoorlie and a second placing by Franco The Man in the Narrogin Cup.
