RWWA Stewards have been advised by the ChemCentre in Perth that the banned substances amphetamine and methamphetamine have been detected in the urine sample taken from Jockey Ben Kennedy at Mt Barker Racecourse on Sunday, 22 January 2017.
Acting under the provisions of AR.81A(3), Jockey Ben Kennedy has been stood down from riding as of Tuesday, 14 February 2017.
Accordingly an inquiry into this report will be held on Friday, 24 February 2017 at 10.30am in the Stewards Room at Ascot Racecourse at which time Jockey Kennedy will be required to attend.
