17 March, 2017
Community TABs support of the WA sporting industry in 2017 is extending as sponsor of the 2017 WA Football League (WAFL) Halftime Show broadcast.
The WAFL Broadcast is going from strength to strength thanks to the support of partners such as Community TAB and this year will have games broadcast on 7 Network.
Community TAB is a local brand from Racing and Wagering WA (RWWA) that has been supporting the WA sporting industry and extended WA community over the past few years through various initiatives.
RWWA Wagering General Manager Michael Saunders said RWWA is proud to be associated with WA Football and excited to see grass roots football in this state being showcased.
“Sport plays a vital role in the community and the broadcast partnership will allow both RWWA and WAFL to celebrate its contribution,” Mr Saunders said.
“The WAFL is a providing a proven pathway to the AFL and it will be exciting for sports fans who want to see our future local stars on show.”
Community TAB General Manager Matthew Thomas said Community TAB partners are broad and varied but all relate to community and grass roots.
“Community TAB has been supporting the WA sporting industry, racing industry and not-for-profit sector for many years through various initiatives and partners through all parts of the State,” Mr Thomas said.
“We’re really proud that our involvement goes much further than just handing over money to those who need it – we embed ourselves with our partners through many avenues such as volunteering and highlighting the people behind organisations and Community TAB has become a vital part of our business at RWWA now.
“Community TAB is proud to be extending its support of the WA sporting industry through this partnership to WA’s premier State League football competition.”
Tune in to the WAFL broadcast on 7 Network each weekend to see Community TAB features and more.
