Top jockey William Pike has shot to the lead in the Frank Treen Medallion after his win on Watermans Bay in the A.J.Scahill Stakes (1400m) at Ascot on Saturday.
Pike leads from interstate jockeys Craig Williams and Damian Browne who took home Group 1 success in the Railway Stakes and Winterbottom Stakes respectively on Super Saturday.
Young guns, Chris Parnham, who rode a treble, Lucy Warwick and Jerry Noske are within striking distance of the lead, sharing third position.
Parnham, back home from Melbourne for a short stint, stole the weekend riding honours on Fremond, Kentucky Lass and Shinta Mani.
Evergreen sprinter Watermans Bay continued a hot run of form for Dan Morton who has taken a firm grip on the Albert Jordan Medallion.
Morton, who prepared Man Booker to victory in the WA Guineas, has a 15 point lead over Chris Waller, Rob Heathcote and Neville Parnham.
