2017 NATIONAL FINALS IN QUEENSLAND
ACCEPTANCE FIRST STAGE CLOSES THURSDAY 20 JULY AT 12 NOON
For those of you that are planning on nominating greyhounds into the WA Sprint and WA Distance heats and ultimately the Group 1 National finals in Queensland there are some important steps that need to be completed to be eligible.
Queensland authorities require that all trainers that nominate for the state heats have signed a statuary declaration regarding their training practices that must be witnessed by a Justice of the Peace.
If this step has not been completed then nominations from the trainer will not be accepted.
Below is a link to a list of centres where a Justice of the Peace can be located to provide this service.

If a trainer has nominated greyhounds in Queensland in the last 2 years and have already completed a stat dec then you will not have to complete another one.
The National Acceptance Form must also be completed and sent through to RWWA for each intended greyhound to be nominated for the series.
The closing date for this first stage of the nominations process is Thursday 20 July at 12 noon.
The stat dec form and the national acceptance form are available in the kennel areas at Cannington and Mandurah and in the greyhound racing section on the RWWA website.
Please fax in your forms to the nomination fax on 9445 9316 or hand deliver them to the stewards on course or in the Mandurah box with enough buffer time for them to be in the RWWA office by the closing time on Thursday 20 July.

MASTERS RACING
Masters races for greyhounds over 4 years of age will continue to be programmed both at Mandurah and Cannington. Currently nomination numbers are poor but the opportunity to race against like aged greyhounds is an important opportunity to provide for our older greyhounds.
Remember Masters races are non-penalty if your greyhound wins and in the Open races they are fully award for unplaced runs.
Provincial Grade 5 Masters races are only open for Provincial Grade 5 greyhounds over 4 years of age and carry stakes of $1,300 to the winner.
Open Masters races are open to all greyhounds regardless of their City and Provincial grades that are over 4 years of age and carry stakes of $1,700 to the winner.
The only restriction on both races is that no winners in 2 of their last 3 races are allowed. This is in place so that one greyhound does not constantly dominate the Masters races. Once they essentially win 2 in a row they can go back to regular graded racing and then return to Masters if their form in their last 3 does not contain 2 wins.
