MANAGER GREYHOUND RACING
Following earlier advice of the decision to re-establish individual Managers for the Harness and Greyhound Racing codes, RWWA is pleased to advise that the Assistant Manager Greyhound Racing, Peter Howell has been seconded to the position of Manager Greyhound Racing effective forthwith for a period of 6-months.
Peter will be working closely with the General Manager Racing during this interim period to assist in the transition of responsibilities and duties to ensure the greyhound industry’s needs, both strategic and operational, are being effectively met in accordance with the code strategic plan.
As a result of this change, Lauren Savage, GAP Team Leader, will report directly to the General Manager Racing to support delivery of various planned improvements to GAP and Greyhound welfare initiatives as communicated at recent industry forums.
The revised structure and subsequent appointments will be reviewed and confirmed, subject to refinement in due course.
As previously indicated, Barry Hamilton will now focus exclusively on the harness code in his role as Manager Harness Racing.
