11 February 2009 Woodley further maintains his lead in Saddleworld Rising Stars Series

Defending champion Justin Prentice made some progress at Harvey last night in pegging back the lead of Morgan Woodley in the Saddleworld Rising Stars Series when he won the King Lethbridge Cup with Zaguar and finished second with Constellation Easton.

Woodley finished the night with two seconds (both behind Chris Lewis) and a third and now has 42 points and leads the tally from Prentice (21), Kade Howson (15) and Brad Scott (10).

Howson earned his first points in the 2008 Rising Stars with a winning double at Bunbury last Saturday.

The Rising Stars Series continues this Friday night when the Narrogin club plays host to the first of the preludes of the 2009 Daintys Daughter Classic.

None of the leading trio in the Saddleworld Rising Stars will have drives at the Narrogin meeting.
