23 February 2009 Woodley Close to Clinching Series

Morgan Woodley is one meeting away from claiming the 2009 Saddleworld Rising Stars Series.

Woodley leads the series on 67 points and is well clear of his nearest rival Justin Prentice who is on 38 points and third placegetter Donald Harper on 19 points.

Woodley has dominated the series since the opening meeting at Pinjarra on Australia Day and maintained his lead following the win of Tara Village in the Sportfirst Stakes at Bunbury last Saturday night.

The final meeting of the series will be held at Narrogin tomorrow night.
