05 May 2009 High Wycombe Officially Opens the Doors to TAB’s Latest Agency

Local dignitaries, punters and Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) staff were at the new High Wycombe TAB for the opening of the state's flagship TAB agency last Thursday (30 April 2009). The state of the art TAB agency has a radically different design from most agencies and is the first of three new styled TABs to be opened in Western Australia this year.

The opening marks the reestablishment of a TAB in the High Wycombe area since the closure of the High Wycombe Hotel in 2007. The new agency has a bright, user friendly environment and punters will benefit from advancements in technology, security and customer service.

The agency was officially opened by the Member for Forrestfield, Andrew Waddell MLA, and RWWA's General Manager of Wagering Alister Shennan.

Alister Shennan said "we are conscious that we need to continually upgrade our facilities for our patrons and this new design should be much more appealing to the broader community"

The agency is located at the High Wycombe Village Shopping Centre on Kalamunda Road- an area that Shire President Donald McKecknie said," this will become the hub of High Wycombe in years to come." Although not a betting man, Donald was impressed at how "bright and breezy" the new look agency appeared and was grateful that High Wycombe was chosen for this flagship service.

There are nearly 300 TAB’s and PUBTab's throughout Western Australia.
