25 June 2009 Swap of meetings - Northam and Gloucester Park

Track resurfacing at Northam forces club to move its 4th July meeting

The need to re-surface the track at Burwood Park in Northam with 250 tonnes of topping material has forced the club to move its 4th July fixture.

With the co-operation of the WA Trotting Association the 4th July Northam meeting has been put back seven days and will now be run on July 11th.

The Gloucester Park meeting originally scheduled for July 11th has been brought forward and will now be run on July 4th.

The previously published programmes for the two clubs have been left largely unchanged although the running of the Golden Slipper Stakes on July 10th and a trotters race at Bunbury on July 3rd have seen the replacement of the Trotters race with a 2yo race for the meeting now being held at Gloucester Park on July 4th.

The meeting now scheduled for Northam on July 11th will have the originally scheduled 2yo race replaced with a Trotters Discretionary Handicap. It is believed to be the first trotters race ever scheduled for the Northam track.

Trainers with queries regarding this change should contact the Trainers Service Centre on 9445 5267.
