A Brief History of The Club

The Northam Race Club was etablished in 1863 and its home, the Northam Racecourse, is one of WA's premier racecourses. Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Avon Valley, Northam is an hour from Perth along the Great Eastern Highway. The Racecourse itself is situated on the edge of the Mortlock River on the eastern border of town. The Club hosts meetings from May to October, mainly racing on a Thursday with feature meetings being held in the Spring on Sundays.
