Horse Identification

QUESTION: How do I get a copy of my horse's papers so I can compete in Off the Track competitions?

ANSWER: On the Racing Information Services Australia (RISA) website there is a Horse Identification Form, once completed and submitted RISA will provide an official identification certificate sufficient for competition purposes. More information can be found on the RISA website.

QUESTION:  I only have my horse’s brands and I don’t know its race name.  How do I find this out?

ANSWER:  For Thoroughbreds you can call the Registration Department at RWWA (9445 5507) and with the correct brands they should be able to identify your horse.  You can then go to the CRIS website  and you will be able to view your horse’s race history.

ANSWER:  For Standardbreds you can go to the HRA website and with the correct brands you should be able to identify your horse.  Alternatively if you are unable to identify the horse yourself you can call the RWWA Harness Registration Department (9445 5506) and they will be able to assist you.
