Community Partnerships

The TAB allocated new funding to not-for-profit groups making a real difference in our community.  Three organisations have been selected as major partners, however partnerships are being created with a community organisation within all the areas throughout WA.

Major Contribution Partners

Riding for the Disabled Association WA

Riding for the Disabled Association WA has 17 riding centres statewide, which assist more than 1,000 riders with disabilities to enjoy safe, fun and therapeutic recreational riding. Community TAB has provided $80,000 each year towards their program development and to contribute towards ensuring the continued high standards of animal welfare, for the past two years.

Lifeline WA

Community TAB supported Lifeline WA by coming on board as the foundation partner for its campaign ‘Lights for Lifeline’, and major partner for the organisation. The campaign shone a light on suicide prevention during the festive period when demand for Lifeline’s crisis support services are highest. Community TAB’s $75,000 partnership over the past two years directly supported the training of 50 new telephone crisis support volunteers.

Fremantle Sea Rescue

Community TAB purchased two rescue-modified Yamaha jet skis for Fremantle Sea Rescue to enhance the outstanding service already operated by volunteer based Fremantle Sea Rescue. Last summer the jet skis assisted 155 people, 46 vessels and 23 community and sporting events. In the second year of partnership Community TAB provided $40,000 to the organisation to ensure this service can run 24/7.
