05 February 2008 Magic Millions Perth 2YO Classic

An updated order of entry was released today for the $250,000 BMW Magic Millions Perth 2YO Classic to be run over 1100m at Ascot on Saturday February 16 and the Shane Edwards prepared Valentine Miss heads the list with stake earnings of $68,850.

Zeda Mak, the unbeaten colt trained by Wally Mitchell is second on the list and the top rated colt with Babieca Noire which created such a big impression when winning here last Saturday the stable representative for Spencer Knight with $42,500.

Top trainers David Harrison and Lou Luciani have the next two on the money list with Go Buster, who looked to be the likely favourite for the race before its slightly disappointing effort last week and Amelia's Reason which will be resuming after a very impressive first up win at the end of October.

A couple of youngsters that are able to improve their standings before final acceptances are the Neville Parnham prepared Friartriar, currently standing 19th on the list but engaged here on Saturday in the $50,000 Bulldogs FC Plate and the Rebecca Nairn trained The Pariah who can earn extra stakemoney in the $22,500 2yo plate at Ascot today.

If Friartriar were to earn enough to qualify it may well be at the expense of stablemate Highwina who is currently an emergency for the race and the other representative for the state's champion trainer is Socializer who's only start was a 3 length second to Go Buster.
