
RWWA Stewards today concluded an inquiry into a report received from Principal Investigator, Mr P. O’Reilly regarding a complaint received from Mr G. Durrant, Registered Foreperson for Trainer Mr A. Durrant regarding the conduct of Apprentice Alan Kennedy at his property in Karnup on Friday, 29 August 2008.
Apprentice A. Kennedy was found guilty to a charge under ARR.175(gg) of giving false and misleading statements to Mr O’Reilly when questioned regarding his conduct at the property of Mr G. Durrant on Friday, 29 August 2008. Apprentice Kennedy subsequently had his permit to ride in races suspended for a period of six (6) weeks.
Further, Apprentice Kennedy pleaded guilty to a charge under ARR.175(q) for conducting himself improperly when on the property of Mr G. Durrant on the above date. Apprentice A. Kennedy’s permit to ride in races was subsequently suspended for a period of 3 months.
Both penalties were ordered to be served concurrently and are effective immediately.
