Trainer Mr Daniel Morton this morning advised that SCENIC SHOT, which is engaged in Race 6 the Lee Steere Stakes over 1400m at Ascot on Saturday, 8 November 2008, has a bruising to its near fore heel and has subsequently been fitted with bar plates to both forelegs.
After receiving this advice Dr Peter Symons, the RWWA Industry Veterinarian examined SCENIC SHOT at the gelding’s stables and confirmed that it had bruising to the near fore heel.
Consequently SCENIC SHOT will be required to undergo a further Veterinary examination by Dr Symons after it completes an early morning trackwork gallop at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday, 8 November and following this examination a decision will then be made on its suitability to start in the above race.
