Select the runner you think will finish 1st in the race. You may select more than one runner for a win.
Select a runner that you think will finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Your selection may finish in any one of these positions. You may select more than one runner for a place. Note - when there are between five and seven starters in a race, only two place dividends are payable. If there are fewer than five runners in a race, place betting is unavailable.
This combines a Win and a Place bet on the same runner. If the selected runner wins, there will be a win and a place dividend to collect. If it finishes second or third, there will be a place dividend to collect. You may select more than one runner in an each way bet. If one of these runners does win, there will be a win dividend and a place dividend to collect on that runner. If the other selection finishes 2nd or 3rd there will be other place dividends to collect.
In the following calculation and marked ticket example, the bet is on three selections for a $2 win and a $3 place.

If two runners dead heat for first, win dividends equal to half the value of a full dividend are paid on each runner. Place dividends on the winning dead heat runners are unaffected. Please contact customer service for more information on dead heat dividends.
If any selections in your bet have been scratched you will receive a refund for each scratching. You will also receive a refund if the race is abandoned or postponed. Collection of refunds will be available after the race dividends are official.
A commission rate of 14.25% is currently deducted from gross investments. Win and Place pools on Eastern States meetings are combined with SuperTAB. Win and Place pools on local Perth and Country meetings may or may not be combined.
