Barrier Three For Bull’s Return
Champion pacer Chicago Bull has been given a golden opportunity to make a winning return in Friday night’s DTS Your Security Fencing Specialists Pace (2130m) at Gloucester Park.
The Gary Hall Snr-trained Chicago Bull has drawn barrier three for the Free-For-All event, with stablemate Ideal Liner and Galactic Star drawn underneath him in barrier one and two respectively.
The gelding went through a five-start campaign earlier this year without recording a win but will be a major player in this week’s $25,000 event.
Ideal Liner led from barrier one a fortnight ago and was narrowly beaten by Bletchley Park, who overcame barrier eight in making it two straight wins.
Bletchley Park has barrier eight again this week, as he looks to continue his winning ways.
The Stephen Reed-trained pacer will require a new driver, with Gary Hall Jnr to drive Chicago Bull.
Galactic Star finished third to Bletchley Park and Ideal Liner a fortnight ago and gets another opportunity to bounce back to his best form.
Another intriguing runner in the race is Golden State, who will line up in his first race in more than 12 months.
Babyface Adda will also line up in the event, where he will have to overcome barrier six.
The Cody Wallrodt-trained pacer finished second to Hurricane Harley in last week’s Group 2 Mount Eden Sprint.
The DTS Your Rural Fencing Experts Pace (2130m) is also set to be an entertaining contest for the mares.
Last start Group 3 winners Sheez Our Hope and Fifty Five Reborn will be first-up in the event from barrier four and eight respectively.
In-form mare Wainui Creek will start from barrier nine, while Savvy Bromac is the lone runner on the back row for the in-form combination of Nathan Turvey and Emily Suvaljko.
The other feature on the card is the $30,000 Preux Chevalier, where last start Group 1 winner Finvarra has drawn barrier four.
