Community TAB to provide Busselton Trotting Club with $4,000 grant
Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) today announced its donation to Busselton Trotting Club, as part of the organisation’s Community TAB Race Club Community Program.
The program, launched in 2015, aims to encourage race clubs across WA to fundraise for local community organisations. Every race club involved in the program in 2019 went into the running to receive the grant, with Busselton Trotting Club randomly drawn from the 30 participating clubs.
Community TAB General Manager Matthew Thomas said the $4,000 grant it is a great way to give back to the club for being part of the program and supporting their community.
“It is great to be able to recognise Busselton Trotting Club who has taken the time and effort to raise funds for Lamp Inc., and recognise the important role the club plays in the Busselton community.”
“Overall, the positive effects of this program have been extensive, raising over $600,000 for various community groups in WA, and allowing race clubs to reinforce the strong relationships they have within their communities,” Mr Thomas said.
Community TAB Race Club Community Program launched in 2015, matching fundraising efforts at major race days throughout WA for community groups. The program will continue throughout 2020.
