Field Of Eight For APG Consolation Final
Four mares and four geldings will line up in Friday night’s TABradio-APG 4YO Consolation Final (1730m) at Gloucester Park.
The $50,000 event is restricted to pacers that ran in the heats last month.
Both heat winners are notable absentees from this Friday’s final, with Mighty Ronaldo spelling after his third in the $200,000 National Final and Nevermindthechaos sidelined through injury.
Give Us A Wave and Belle Livia Star are the other two heat runners absent from this week’s field.
Lady Jadore, above, has come up with the prized inside barrier for the Group 2 feature, with fellow mares Miss Boudica, American Arma and Bettors Destroya drawn in barriers two, three and four respectively.
The Ryan Bell-trained pair of Sound Wave and Peligroso have drawn barriers five and six respectively.

The Graham Cox-trained pair of Chance Eclipse and Regal Aura have drawn the outside two barriers.
Elsewhere on the Gloucester Park card, Blitzembye makes his much-anticipated return in the Talking Trots Podcast (2130m).
A winner at eight of his 12 starts in WA, Blitzembye has drawn barrier one for his return and comes up against the in-form trio Cordero, Ima Rockabilly Rebel and Eldaytona.
Blitzembye could join talented stablemate Ragazzo Mach in being aimed at the Group 1 4YO Classic and Group 1 Golden Nugget later this year.
Meanwhile, star pacer Lavra Joe is edging closer to a return to the track after almost 12 months off with a suspensory ligament injury.
Jones said he hoped to be able to trial the gelding in the next fortnight.
“We’ve been galloping him and he’s galloping the same times to when he was racing last year,” he told The Trots WA.
“He’s stopped growing since we gelded him and now he really looks like a horse.
“He’s been in work for 10 months, but it’s been a slow and steady rehab period for him.
“It’ll be interesting to see how he comes back as a gelding.”
