Flow To Relish The Wet
Trainer Martin Allan is confident he has Flow primed for his Grand Final in tomorrow’s Group 3 R.J. Peters Stakes (1500m).
Flow produced one of his best performances in Western Australia in the Northam Cup (1600m) on October 25, when second to Dance Music.
That came off the back of an unplaced run in the Northerly Stakes (1400m) just eight days earlier.
Allan said the seven-year-old would relish the expected wet conditions for the $150,000 event, which he has targeted all campaign.
“I just want to see him perform at this level,” he told TABradio.
“This has been his main aim the R.J. Peters.
“The wetter the track gets the better and he’s going sensationally at the minute.”

Flow has recorded just one win since coming to Perth from James Cummings’ Godolphin stable, as well as three blacktype placings.
Allan has followed the same path as last year with Flow, who was unplaced in last year’s Northam Cup before he was fourth in the R.J. Peters Stakes.
Allan said he never lost confidence in the gelding before the Northam Cup, despite his unplaced Northerly Stakes (1400m) on October 17 and expected further improvement tomorrow.
“He ran in the Northerly and I thought there was a bit of improvement to come,” he said.
“I thought he was a crazy price in the Northam Cup at $41 and I knew he was going to improve heaps.
“We’ve gone three weeks (between runs) and he’s spent most of his time down the beach and his work has been sensational really.”
Flow, who carries the 58kg topweight tomorrow, is on the fourth line of the TABtouch market at $11.
Truly Great, who has won both starts this campaign, is the $1.95 favourite in the toughest test of his career to date.
True Attraction ($4.60) and Moschard ($10) are also expected to be prominent in the Railway Stakes qualifier.
Michael Gangemi indicated $13 chance The Fugazi would try to lead all the way in the feature event.
