A tough and dour stayer who became WA’s first ever Group 1 National Distance Champion with his strong win at Cannington in 1998 and was runner-up at Wentworth Park in NSW a year later.
Ended his career with a sensational WA distance race record of 37 starts for 25 wins and 11 placings with only one unplaced run.
Won three WA Distance Championships, two Distance Gifts and a Galaxy Final over the longer trips.
A winner of 43 races with over $164,000 in career earnings, he retired forever holding the 700m track record on the old Cannington track.
