21 December, 2015
Thoroughbred
Grant Williams has opened up a narrow gap on chief rival, Adam Durrant, in the Perth Trainer’s Premiership.
Williams advanced to 33 wins for the season after Antique Dream, Cosmic Storm and Delicacy won on Saturday.
The battle for third position is tight with Dan Morton and Simon Miller making their moves up the leader board.
Lunar Eclipse continued a rich vein of form for Morton, four wins from his past three metropolitan meetings.
Neville Parnham holds the advantage despite placings to Kentucky Lass, Malibu Style and Dancing Express.
William Pike’s march towards another Jockey’s premiership looks unstoppable after he partnered, Cosmic Storm and Delicacy.
He has 57 wins, 30 clear of his next rival, Lucy Warwick, who maintained second position after guiding home Tarquinn Shadow in the Starstruck Classic (1600m).
Clint Johnston-Porter picked up one win on third placegetter, Pat Carbery, after giving Antique Dream the run of the race.
