WA Country Cups caught up with Ms Eacott to talk about country racing and racing fashion, as well as the upcoming Final, here is what she had to say:
1. What do you love about country racing? I love the atmosphere at the country races, the excitement, energy and the crowds. It’s wonderful that the whole town gets behind and supports race day. It’s a big event on the calendar each year.
2. How long have you been going to the races for and what are your favourite memories? I first came to the races as a baby with my mum and dad, I can remember playing in the grandstand with my friends and eating ice cream. I attend our small local race meet every year and I love getting dressed up with my friends, sipping on champagne and dancing the night away.
3. Why do you enter Fashions on the Field? I enter Fashions on the Field because I am proud to show off what I have put together. I love the creative side of finding the pieces and putting it all together. I am a busy working mum so it is nice to feel glamorous.
4. Describe your style? I try to dress to show off my best features and push myself out of my comfort zone. I have always followed my own path when it comes to fashion.
5. What tips do you have for ladies entering Fashions on the Field? Plan ahead, have fun and try something different. It doesn’t have to be expensive or brand name so long as it all goes together and fits well.
6. What are some of your favourite things about the Wheatbelt Region? The wheatbelt is a wonderful place to live and raise a family, our community is amazing! Everyone always supports each other no matter what, when someone has a serious illness or accident, then everyone bands together. I have never had a greater sense of community than that of being a part of a small town.
7. What does it mean to you to be going to Ascot to compete in the Wildcard semi-final? It is such an honour to be going to Ascot to compete in the final, I was honestly blown away to have been voted into the top three for the wildcard competition. I am looking forward to experiencing this event, as a working mum I am excited to do something just for me and meet new people.
