Belmont September 5
Money Matters, ridden by Clint Johnston-Porter and trained by Adam Durrant, won the $100,000 Jolly Beggar Stakes, defeating Jericho Missile and Vital Silver.
Jockey Laqdar Ramoly rode his first Saturday double on Denim Pack and Sugar Cain.
Junction September 5
Jockey Jessica Gray and trainer Darryn Pateman had a day out to combine for five of the six winners: Monash, Swanky Lass, Mybak, Macavity in the Junction Cup and Redeem Bounty.
Kalgoorlie September 6
Western Temple won the Coolgardie Cup (1760m), winning by a length over Friar Fox and Divine Shadow, giving trainer Peter Fernie and jockey, Kyra Yuill their first wins in the race.
Belmont September 9
Chris Parnham rode four winners, his biggest haul of the current season: Captain Burglar, Sheikh It, Bolshoi Gal & Sentimental Queen.
Belmont September 12
Sessions gelding Massimo continued his consistent form with victory in the Listed Farnley Stakes (1400m), finishing 1 ¾ lengths ahead of Yeah Dardy and Snowchino. The four-year-old is a member of Adam Durrant’s stable and in the five-horse line-up was ridden by Clint Johnston-Porter.
Carnarvon September 12
Dhurun Keshaw led home the Michelle Valentine-trained Espresso Lass to an exciting win over the well backed Gloryland in the Tabtouch Carnarvon Cup (2000m). In a thrilling finish the margin was a short head with another ¾ length to third placegetter Tell Me This.
Belmont September 16
After a long wait, exciting five-year-old Notorious One won on debut for Chris and Michael Gangemi.
Later on the card Triple Missile also displayed positive signs with an impressive debut victory. The three-year-old is a son of Smart Missile and trained by Todd Harvey.
Belmont September 19
Former New Zealand jumps jockey Greg Cave posted his first city win as a trainer following Patristic’s effort to stave off Western Pride and Inspirational Girl.
Celebrity Queen got up in the last bound to defeat Cliffs Of Comfort in the $100,000 Nicopolis Stakes (1200m). The daughter of Redoute’s Choice was racing first-up this campaign for Grant and Alana Williams and was handled by Chris Parnham.
Fred Kersley’s in-form gelding, Bonneville Black, aided by the claim of Madi Derrick, completed a winning hat trick.
September 20 Kalgoorlie
Friar Fox returned to winner’s list for the first time in nearly a year with a slashing Boulder Cup (2100m) run. Recording her second Listed success since the Natasha Stakes (2200m), the Justine Erkelens’-trained mare, ridden by Shaun O’Donnell, held a comfortable 1 ¼ length margin over Divine Shadow with Major Mambo third.
Kalgoorlie sprinter Magniforce made it three wins in a line to take out the Kambalda Cup (1400m).
September 26 Belmont
The in-form combination of trainer Adam Durrant and jockey Clint Johnston-Porter took out the inaugural running of the Listed Black Heart Bart Stakes (1200m) with Stageman. After going close to landing a maiden a feature win last campaign, the six-year-old, first-up, defeated Cup Night and Dance Music.
