FURTHER DELAYS TO NEW CANNINGTON
Due to further construction delays the revised aim for racing on the new track is December.
Therefore the programing of race days will remain unchanged throughout October and November.
The Group 2 All Stars will remain scheduled on Saturday 17 & 24 October and will be run over the 490m at Mandurah.
The Spring Maiden Classic will remain scheduled on Wednesday 21 & 28 October and will be run over the 490m at Mandurah.
The Group 3 Young Stars Classic will remain scheduled on Saturday 7 & 14 November and will be run over the 490m at Mandurah.
The Spring Gift will remain scheduled on Saturday 21 & 28 November and will be run over the 490m at Mandurah.
The Distance Potential will remain scheduled on Saturday 21 & 28 November and will be run over the 647m at Mandurah.
The Dash has been moved to Thursday 14 & 21 January.
TRAINER’S SUBSIDY / STARTERS FEE
As announced as part of the 2015-16 distribution a flat $15 Starters Fee will be paid to the trainer of each greyhound that competes in a race and does not earn stakes, i.e. the greyhound finishes 5th to 8th and is not paid unplaced stakes, or fails to finish for any reason.
The commencement date for these payments is Friday 25 September 2015.
Starters Fees will be paid into trainers nominated bank accounts via the current weekly stakes payment process. Trainer should ensure that they provide RWWA with their bank account details and a GST Declaration Form to ensure these payments can be processed in a timely manner.
New stake tables will be published in the October edition of Chasing WA.
NORTHAM DUAL CODE MEETING
The Northam Dual Code race meeting will be conducted on Sunday 11 October. The race meeting details are as follows:
Scratchings close at 8.00am
Kennelling between 11.10am – 12.00pm
First race approx 12.18pm
No Qualifying Trials are scheduled at this meeting.
Due to the length of the race meeting, it is highly recommended that greyhounds in the later races are kennelled last.
MANDURAH TUESDAY TIMES DURING DAYLIGHT SAVINGS
SKY Racing have indicated that they want to start the Tuesday night Mandurah racing at approximately 6pm. Therefore kennelling times will remain at 4pm – 5pm. With the meeting finishing around the 9.50pm range.
SPRING MAIDEN CLASSIC QUALIFICATION
Please note for greyhounds to be eligible to compete in the heats of the Spring Maiden Classic, scheduled at Mandurah on 21 October, they must have a Provincial Sprint Maiden grade.
Greyhounds that have only gained a Country Sprint Maiden grade at Northam will need to compete in a 490m Qualifying Trial and achieve Provincial qualifying time to be eligible for the series.
