The South West region contributes $58.3 million to the Western Australian economy each year. With 78 race meetings held each year within the South West, the region attracts more than 100,000 racegoers.
The South West is home to two thoroughbred racing clubs; Bunbury Turf Club and Collie Race Club. Both race clubs are approximately a two hour drive from Perth, with racing at Bunbury Turf Club running from March to December and Collie Race Club operating in October.
With 10 months of racing per year, there’s no excuse not to visit the region. A visit to the South West wouldn’t be complete without visiting the numerous attractions in the region, from wineries to the stunning coastlines, there’s something for everyone.
