Mt Magnet Race Club

Mount Magnet Race Club hosts two meetings each year in Autumn and Spring. Held at the Mount Magnet Race Course north of town, these involve a full day of activities and entertainment. The Race Club runs a fully licensed bar on the day and there are events including luncheons, the popular tug – o – war and bands. After the races are over two-up is played at the race course.

The Mount Magnet Turf Club was formed 118 years ago, in 1896, establishing the foundation for what would become one of the most tenacious racing clubs in the country. Here, along with the thrill of the race in rich red earth, you can experience the enduring outback spirit. Locals and visitors alike come together at this popular and iconic event – the Mount Magnet Races.
