Harness – Pinjarra Race 10 AUSTRALIAN PREMIUM FEEDS MS TROT. 2185M
On Monday 7 January, 2019 Stewards delayed the all clear after the running of Race 10 at Pinjarra to review the race vision of KAYTEEOH DENARIO, which was placed third by the Judge, to establish whether it had gained an unfair advantage due to pacing during the race.
Stewards took submissions from driver S. Suvaljko and reviewed the available vision on several occasions, however due to the quality of the vision available in the Stewards room at the time, Stewards were unable to conclusively establish KAYTEEOH DENARIO was pacing during the entire race.
Accordingly as the Stewards could not be fully satisfied that the mare had gained an unfair advantage the all clear was given on the judges’ numbers.
However further review of this vision, using enhanced equipment which includes displaying the vision frame by frame, established that KAYTEEOH DENARIO had indeed paced at various stages of the race.
All races are reviewed as a matter of routine, and in doing so the Stewards were satisfied on this occasion that KAYTEEOH DENARIO had gained an unfair advantage.
Acting under Australian Harness Racing Rule 66(h) Stewards disqualified KAYTEOH DENARIO from third place and amended the placings. KAYTEEOH DENARIO has been stood down from racing until the completion of one re-qualifying trial.
The amended placings are:
1st – REMINDER CALL
2nd – TENNO SHO
3rd – ROPEBURN
4th – EARL HARBOUR
