Refreshed and recharged both mentally and physically, a rejuvenated Jarrad Noske wasted little time in returning to winner’s list.
At his first ride back after a three month break, Noske was at his vigorous best when he lifted Lockroy to victory at Belmont on Saturday.
Noske said with the Ascot carnival fast approaching, he was delighted to be back in the saddle and punching home winners.
“It felt great to be back riding in town,” Noske told Tabradio.
“It was good to have a live chance who got the job done.
“On the whole the body felt a lot better for it.
“It was definitely good to get away for the winter, that’s for sure.
“I’m a lot keener now than what I was before I left.”
With Lockroy’s victory, Noske has enjoyed a winning strike rate at his past three Belmont rides after partnering Roganella and River Dance in June.
With his comeback victory locked away, Noske says he can’t wait to reunite with several top feature race horses before the Ascot carnival.
“Samizdat is a really nice horse going to the three-year-old races,” Noske said.
“Battle Hero is back and going for the sprint races.
“Dad (Jeff Noske) has Salorsci who will go through the grades.
“There are some really nice horses coming through and hopefully we can win some nice races.”
Samizdat, prepared by Chris Gangemi, hasn’t been seen since posting a sparking win on debut in June.
Salorsci ran a half-length second to Lordhelpmerun after leading in a 1000m trial at Belmont today (Monday).
Battle Hero won four Listed races after transferring to the Gangemi stable last year.
