Easingwold was an exceptional colt who was hailed as one of Western Australia’s best thoroughbreds of his time. He showed enormous potential as a juvenile, winning his first three races including the Karrakatta Plate. Easingwold was sent to Victoria for a second time and joined the stables of leading Victorian trainer, Jack Holt. In 1932, Easingwold, became the first West Australian to win the Cox Plate. Easingwold won races across three states: WA, Vic & NSW, for a tally of 22 victories from 73 starts.
