Harness Stewards Inquiry – Trainer Mr Dennis Wych – CLASSY SAVETTE
RWWA Stewards have been advised by the ChemCentre in Perth, that cobalt at a concentration in excess of 100 micrograms per litre, being the threshold prescribed in the Harness Rules of Racing, has been detected in a urine sample taken from CLASSY SAVETTE at Pinjarra on 31 August 2020 after it had competed in and finished 9th in Race 5.
This finding has been verified by the Racing Analytical Services Laboratory (RASL) in Victoria.
Accordingly the Stewards will inquire into these reports on Thursday 29 October 2020 which trainer Mr Dennis Wych has been directed to attend.
Mr Wych is currently disqualified for a period of 15 months which commenced on 1 September 2020 under Harness Rule of Racing 190 for presenting RICHIE REACTOR to race in Race 9 at Northam on 15 August 2020, where it raced and finished 1st, not free of the prohibited substance cobalt.
