RWWA Stewards yesterday inquired into a report from the ChemCentre in Perth, that aminocaproic acid was detected in the post race urine sample taken from FLYING VILLAGE LORD (NZ) after it had won Race 5 the Perkins Building MS Pace (2100m) at Bunbury on Tuesday, 6 October 2009.
This finding has been verified by the Racing Science Centre in Queensland.
Evidence was taken from Mr Jim Currie trainer of FLYING VILLAGE LORD (NZ), Trainer/Driver Mr Shane Loone, ChemCentre Manager Mr Charles Russo, RWWA Industry Veterinarian Dr Judith Medd and RWWA Principal Investigator Mr Phil O’Reilly.
The inquiry was adjourned to Wednesday, 17 February 2010 at 10am at the RWWA Stewards Room Gloucester Park to allow further witnesses to be called.
