The thoroughbred industry section includes all information on WestSpeed, handicapping, insurance and the Thoroughbred Racing Consultative Group.
WESTSPEED
RWWA maintains and supports the Westspeed incentive scheme as a means of fostering and promoting WA thoroughbred breeding and racing activities.
HANDICAPPING
WA has adopted a ratings based handicapping system, closely aligned to that now in operation in all other states of Australia.
THOROUGHBRED CONSULTATIVE GROUP
The compositions of the Consultative Groups include nominated representatives of race clubs, industry associations and industry participant groups.
THOROUGHBRED INSURANCE
RWWA acts as agent in facilitating arrangements for certain types of insurance for nominated race clubs, jockeys and trainers.
