Trainers’ Premiership Hots Up

With just over two months of the season to go, the battle for the Perth trainers’ premiership is hotting up between co trainers Grant and Alana Williams and Adam Durrant.
The Williams partnership will look to commence the new Belmont season in the same fashion as they ended the 2017-18 season at Ascot last Saturday.
The co-trainers smashed through the half century barrier and advanced to 51 wins after Masquerade, Galaxy Star and Forceful recorded top victories.
Despite failing to add to his tally, Durrant, chasing his seventh trainers’ title and first since resuming from a year’s absence, trails the Williams combination by two.
William Pike is a runaway leader in the jockeys’ race, extending his big lead over his rivals after booting home a treble, Tayla Stone is well clear as leading apprentice.
