Racing in Western Australia is a thriving community. At its heart are the wonderful canine and equine athletes that bring it to life.
There are more than 25,000 participants who are actively involved in the Western Australian racing industry who all share a common passion. Training and caring for racing animals is no easy task – with early morning starts and long hours – it is an industry that requires dedication and hard work.
Our racing animals are at the centrefold of our industry and therefore RWWA is committed to ensuring that they receive the appropriate amount of care during all stages of their racing careers, including both during racing and post-racing.
We respect and advocate for the animal athletes of the industry, with constantly evolving welfare standards and
regulations to protect their wellbeing.
If you have any concerns regarding the welfare of any racing animals in Western Australia please contact our Integrity Department on 9445 5565.
