Young Filly Flies To Another Wonderful Win
Star filly Wonderful To Fly has made it back-to-back wins in this morning’s Thank You Volunteers Of York Racing Pace (2130m) at Gloucester Park.
Wonderful To Fly suffered a surprise defeat first-up since the Golden Slipper last month but bounced back to win by 10m last start and an even more convincing 16m today.
The Shane Young-trained filly was able to work her way to the front from barrier five in the early stages after expected leader Wall Street Girl went roughly soon after the start.
Wonderful To Fly had a comfortable time in front and duly saluted in 1.56.7.
It took the two-year-old’s record to nine wins from 16 starts.
