Lynn Pair Break Maiden Status
Trainer Brad Lynn has trained a winning double at Pinjarra this afternoon, with Poppy Sensation and Rodger James both breaking through for their first wins.
Poppy Sensation, having her 10th start, sat behind race leader Sweet Suzi and used the sprint lane to her advantage in the home straight to take out the Captain Ahab Joins Westbred Pacing Fillies and Mares Pace (2185m).
Lynn trained the quinella of the event, with Iron Annie running on into second.

Lynn said Poppy Sensation had endured “problem after problem” and was relieved to see her get a maiden win.
Rodger James then caused a minor boilover in the Captain Ahab 1.50.4 Standing At Murray Vets West Coolup 3YO Pace (2185m).
Allinablaze, a $1.28 TABtouch favourite, was crossed early and settled behind Just Roc throughout.
Driver Emily Suvaljko was patient with Rodger James and was able to make a run along the sprint lane after Allinablaze peeled to the outside of Just Roc at the top of the straight.
Lynn said the Follow The Stars colt had been unlucky in his career to date.
“He’s a really nice horse,” he told The Trots WA.
“He should’ve won three or four by now.
“He’s just been plagued by bad barriers and been racing too keen in his races.”
Meanwhile, Greg and Skye Bond enjoyed a winning treble on the afternoon.
Noted broke through for his first win in the Captain Ahab – Son Of Super Sire Captaintreacherous 2YO Pace (2185m).
Smart three-year-old Roll Up notched up his fourth win in the Captain Ahab – Winner Of Nine Straight As A 2YO Pace (2185m).
Howard Hughes then recorded his first win of the preparation in the Captain Ahab – Who Doesn’t Want To Own A Captain Pace (2185m).
The four-year-old came from the rear of the field to score a stylish 8.4m win in a slick 1.55.1.
