MIXED BAG FOR FANCIES IN BULLION FINALS
Star filly Wonderful To Fly looks well placed to score another $50,000 win in this Friday’s APG Gold Bullion (1730m) for the three-year-old fillies at Gloucester Park.
The Shane Young-trained filly was an effortless 4.9m winner of her heat last Tuesday and followed it up with a 5.4m win last Friday night.
Wonderful To Fly has drawn barrier two for Friday’s Group 2 feature and has just five rivals to contend with.
Ima Socialite, who finished fourth in the heat, has drawn barrier one and looks a live top two chance in the event.
Sovrana, Radiant Bay, Precocious Lady and Like It I Love It have drawn barriers three through six respectively.
Swingband gets the chance to atone for the disappointment of being beaten as a short-price favourite in the heat when he lines up in the 3YO Gold Bullion for the Colts and Geldings.

Heat winner Rock On Top has drawn barrier seven, while Stereophonic has the coveted barrier one.
Rocket City and Valedictorian, who finished first and second respectively in the 2YO Gold Bullion heat for the Colts and Geldings, have drawn the two widest gates in this week’s final.
Valedictorian has barrier five and Rocket City has drawn barrier six.
The Kat Warwick-trained All Is Well has barrier one for $50,000 event.
As was the case in the heat, just Dream Control and Flametree will contest the 2YO Gold Bullion Final for the two-year-old fillies.
