Bumper Fields For Sales Night
Friday night’s two and three-year-old Sales Classics headline a bumper night of pacing at Gloucester Park.
The $125,000 2YO Colts and Geldings Sales Classic (1730m) and 2YO Filles Sales Classic are the main events of the evening, following the heats last week.
The Robbie Williams-trained Mysta Moon Walker and Louie Vee both won heats last week and have drawn barrier two and six respectively.
Trainer Ryan Bell qualified four for the colts and gelding’s final, headlined by impressive heat performer Control The Room.
The Control The Moment colt drew barrier 10, while stablemates Charivari, Wicked Hustler and Its Crunch Time drew barrier one, seven and eight respectively.
Fillies heat winners Ruby Lou, Bull Shark Betty and Copper Head Lady drew barrier five, eight and 10 respectively.
Heat second placegetters Highview Heidi, Bettagetonpip and Crunchee drew more favourably in barrier one, three and four respectively.
Last season’s star two-year-old Menemsha will have a big task to try and win the APG 3YO Colts and Geldings Sales Classic (2130m).
The Aiden De Campo-trained pacer has drawn barrier six for the $50,000 event with Ten To The Dozen (barrier one), Off The Charts (two), Thenu Came Along (three) and Grevis (four) all drawing inside him.
De Campo said he expected Menemsha to improve on his first-up performance.
“I originally thought he was a touch disappointing, but they ran home in 1:54 off the track and it was hard to make up ground,” De Campo told TABradio.
“His work has been good since then.”
Water Lou, who will be out to complete the two and three-year-old fillies Sales Classic double, has drawn barrier 12 in the $50,000 feature.
