WA Derby winner King Of Swing’s impressive return to racing has continued at Gloucester Park, with another dominant victory in the JP’s Sportsbar Pace (2130m).
After recording a 67m victory first-up last week, King Of Swing again had little issue in similar company last night in recording a 22m win.
Driver Gary Hall Jnr had little issue overcoming barrier nine and was able to slowly make his way around the outside to the front.
Hall Jnr was then able to comfortably control the tempo of the race from the front before the colt found another gear on the last lap to score an effortless win.
King Of Swing ran home in a time of 56.8 and an overall time of 1.58.8, with Our Jaccka Mara and Heavy Load filling the minor placings.
Hall Snr and Jnr combined earlier in the night to take out the opening race on the Gloucester Park program with two-year-old Fake News taking out The Sports Daily on TABradio Pace (2130m).
It was a patient drive by Hall Jnr, who settled on the back of the leader and race favourite Major Artist from barrier 10.
The leading driver then peeled off the back of Major Artist in the home straight and claimed the lead inside the last 100m of the race.
Trainer Joshua Dunn and drivers Corey Peterson and Chris Voak recorded doubles on last night’s eight race program.
Peterson and Voak both drove a winner for Dunn, the first came up in the form of Extreme Dreams in the Steelo’s Bistro At Gloucester Park Westbred Pace (2130m).
Peterson drove aggressively from barrier four to get Extreme Dreams to the lead and he was never headed from there, going on to score by five metres.
Peterson then made it a race-to-race double when Firebrace took out the Book Your Next Conference At Gloucester Park Westbred Pace (2130m).
Voak drove the second of the Dunn-trained winners on the evening, with nine-year-old gelding Oneonthewood taking out the Follow Gloucester Park On Facebook Discretionary Handicap (2503m).
Earlier in the night, Voak brought up the first leg of his teamed up with the Matthew Scott-trained Kaydee Stratton to victory in the $7 Pints For Footy Friday’s At JP’s Westbred Pace (2130m).
The Justin Prentice-trained Sun Of Anarchy and Nathan Dymock-trained Allamericanallstar took out the final two events on the program.
