Red Hot Roxy Has Attitude To Burn

Red Hot Roxy has shown a stack of promise, assembling three wins from her four career starts, but it’s her attitude more than anything that has impressed trainer, Kat Warwick.
“She has got that much confidence in herself,” Warwick said on TABradio.
“She doesn’t get intimidated and just gets on with the job.
“She thinks she is the queen around the stables and that’s how she races.
“She is strong and doesn’t mind looking other horses in the eye.
“That temperament makes her a great horse to have around the stable.”
Red Hot Roxy, to be driven by ace reinsman, Gary Hall Jnr, will attempt to continue her impressive strike rate in the Del Basso Smallgoods Diamond Classic (1730m) at Gloucester Park on Friday.
After drawing barrier three and on the strength of her dominant last-start victory when she led and put a margin of ten metres over her next rival, Red Hot Roxy is on the second line of TAB betting at $3.40.
At the top of the market is Im Stylish, one of four entrants for trainer-driver, Justin Prentice. The Bettors Delight filly, who hasn’t missed a placing in four outings, looks set to control the race from pole position.
“Red Hot Roxy has natural speed and the ability to follow the gate out,” Warwick said.
“We will attempt to go forward, but if not she is versatile and you can do anything with her.”
Im Stylish, to be driven by Prentice, is all the rage with punters at $1.70.
Prentice’s other contenders in the 12-horse line-up includes Lady Luca, with Chris Lewis in the sulky, Allamerican Queen (Matthew White) and Doalittlerocknroll (Nathan Turvey).
Angel Bromac, prepared and to be driven by Prentice’s father, Kim, and the Mike Reed-trained, Beach Goddess, are the only other runners in single figure odds.
Angel Bromac looks a nice filly in the making and after winning three trials she could not have done much more when landing a maiden victory on debut a fortnight back.
However; Angel Bromac, at $7.50 and Beach Goddess $8.50, will have to overcome awkward draws in gates 12 and eleven resspectively.
