Thank you, owners!
RWWA would like thank all owners for their continuous investment and support of the WA racing industry, and for their patience and cooperation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
To celebrate the return of patrons back on-course, we are sharing the ownership experiences of some of our owners, such as thoroughbred owner Simone Wilkins, who is one of over 13,000 people investing in the WA racing industry.
Simone got involved in racing through her family, whose star runner No Peer ran fourth in the Melbourne Cup and second in the Caulfield Cup. Simone now has a share in two horses, both of which are part of an all-female syndicate.
“I am a race club member, so investing in horses was a way for me to enhance the joy of attending race meetings.”
“My horses are with Dan and Carol Morton, who are like family to me, and I have 100% confidence in their team to deliver. They make the ownership journey fun, and they bring together good people who share the same passion. I am loving the journey, and the social experience of getting to know the other connections and following our horses’ journey!”
“Now that the track is open for patrons, I am looking forward to catching up with good friends and fellow owners and trainers. I’m so happy that this industry has been able to continue through this madness.”
Once again, RWWA would like to thank owners for their understanding during this challenging period, and for their support as we progressively get back to enjoying racing as we know it in WA.
