Week 5: The Races WA Podcast Tipping Competition Update
What a sensational Ascot Carnival it was, with the perfect script put into action for Damian Oliver.
‘Oli’ bid farewell to the sport with an unbelievable performance, taking out the final three races on the card, which included the Damian Oliver Gold Rush.
Punters were left in awe by his ride in the feature event and it is sure to be remembered long into the future.
While the action may have been hard to top on the track, there were also big moves off it during weeks 4 and 5 of The Races WA Great Tip Off.
Contestants scraped and clawed for any slight edge they could find.
There is still plenty left to play and these are the star performers who are making a charge for a podium finish.
Luke Hovhanesian from theGreatTipOff.com has dove into the results to find the stars of the past fortnight.
Northerly Stakes Day Tipping Review
Top Tipsters
It was the performance of the carnival in Week 4 from a tipster known as RockFerry.
‘Rocky’ had 5 winners and 3 placings from 10 races on the program, including the G1 Northerly winner ‘Dom To Shoot’ as his ‘Big-Bet’ ($50 each way) which paid an eye-watering $21.40.
He dominated the round and cleared second place by $82.
His round total of $1,972 saw him shoot up the leaderboard and put him right into contention for the overall prize.
For his efforts, Rocky has a $500 Perth Racing food and beverage voucher on the way to him.
He will be able to reminisce with his mates over a few cold ones.
A massive congratulations to him and the rest of our Week 4 top performers.

Gold Rush Day Tipping Review
Top Tipsters
From the highs of Northerly Stakes Day, where winners were flowing left and right, punters were in for a reality check come Saturday.
Gold Rush Day proved to have landmines everywhere, with most tipsters only having 2 to 3 winning tips on average.
These are the challenging days you face as a tipster and the cream rose to the top.
In first place was ‘Mantipswa’, who showed his local intel by nailing the roughie of the day Let’sdeal at $12.60 with his ‘Big-Bet’.
He finished with a total round score of $1,254 and just like Rocky the week before, has a $500 Perth Racing food and beverage voucher inbound.
This also saw him rise to 3rd in the overall competition, a brilliant effort.
Here are last Saturday’s top performers.

Overall Leaderboard – Media Performers
Alex Vlahos
He has been a model of consistency throughout the competition and his results speak for themselves.
It was another blistering performance on Saturday, headlined by tipping Let’sdeal at a huge price.
The good news is that Alex is showing no signs of slowing down over the final two weeks.
Can he prove that the media tipsters know best?
First place is within reach for this gun out of the wild west.
Brittany Taylor
Forget ‘Britt’ Taylor at your own peril.
The talented media presenter currently sits just inside the top 100 tipsters at 98th and will be making a late rally for a podium finish.
With the competition so tight, this is anyone’s game to win.
She loves to find runners missed by the market and all it will take is one big roughie to swing the tide in her favour.
A must-follow over the next two weeks.
Lochie Taylor
Has Lochie Taylor left his charge too late?
Languishing after the first few rounds, he has strapped himself in and rocketed up the leaderboard into 211th.
There are still two weeks left and you better believe he will cause a grandstand finish.
