2021 Ladies in Pacing Awards
In response to Government advice specific to COVID-19, Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) has made the decision to postpone the Ladies in Pacing event that was planned for Wednesday 10 February 2021.
We remain committed to delivering the event and plan to reschedule pending further Government advice.

2020 Ladies of Pacing Awards
The winners of the inaugural Ladies of Pacing Award were announced on 16 January 2020 at an event celebrating the many women who work and thrive in the harness racing industry. The awards highlighted women’s achievements in the following categories:
Ladies of Pacing Leadership Award
- The Ladies of Pacing Leadership Award recognises an individual who has displayed leadership qualities, trail-blazing in promoting the WA harness racing industry or being an ambassador for the sport.

The winner must demonstrate exceptional skills in administration, media or marketing, or have been responsible for an achievement that has added value to the greyhound industry in WA.

Media Awards
Greyhound Media Awards
The Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) Media Awards recognise excellence in journalism and broadcasting, which promotes the Western Australian racing industry.
2020 Greyhound Media Award
RWWA has revamped its Media Awards for 2020, with only one award provided to an individual who has delivered an exceptional feature story or coverage on the WA greyhound racing industry in media, including television, radio, print or online media. Nominations can be based on one story, or for the individuals overall contribution to promote the industry in media throughout the nomination period.
Nominations should demonstrate well-researched, innovative and insightful coverage of the greyhound racing industry. Coverage must have been obtained through an Australian accredited media outlet or recognised industry publication, from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2020.
Nominations for the 2020 Greyhound Media Award will close on Friday, 26 February 2021. Nominate here.

Best Feature Story
This category recognised the Best Feature Story published or broadcast by any Australian accredited media outlet or industry publication on WA’s greyhound racing industry.

- Eligible nominations relate to the period specified under each Media Award category above.
- Eligible nominations must be published/broadcast by an Australian accredited media outlet or recognised industry publication, subject to the conditions pertaining to each code.
- Award nominations must be relevant to the Western Australia racing industry, however the coverage achieved can be state-wide or on a national level.
- Nominations can be made by either the nominee themselves or by a third party. However, members of the Media Awards Judging Panel are not able to nominate.
- For the Media Awards only one award is provided to an individual who has delivered an exceptional feature story or coverage on the WA racing industry in media. Nominations can be based on one story, or for the individuals overall contribution to promote the industry in media throughout the nomination period.
