Greyhound stewards’ inquiry – trainer Derek Coldstream – GO BONNIE and SHAKA ROCK

Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) stewards have been advised by the Chem Centre in Perth the following substances have been detected in samples taken from greyhounds trained by Derek Coldstream.
- SHAKA ROCK – Race 8 at Cannington on 11 December 2021 – Caffeine
- GO BONNIE – Race 2 at Cannington on 6 February 2022 – Caffeine and its metabolites Theobromine and Theophylline
These findings have been verified by Racing Analytical Services Limited (RASL) Victoria.
Accordingly, the stewards will inquire into these reports on Wednesday, 27 April 2022. The trainer Mr Coldstream has been directed to attend.
Acting under the provisions of Greyhound Rule of Racing 92 (5), stewards have directed that the greyhounds shall not be permitted to compete in or be nominated for any event pending outcome of the inquiry.
